Talent: Ren Min. Photographer:
Some people reveal themselves immediately. Ren Min takes a different path.
Quiet and composed, she carries herself with a natural confidence. Yet beneath that calm presence is a strong curiosity and a willingness to explore unfamiliar territory.

For her, growth does not come from following a fixed path. It begins when she accepts a new role, experiments with an unexpected look, or steps beyond what feels comfortable.

Beyond boundaries, new possibilities emerge
Ren Min approaches creativity with curiosity and an open mind.
In this photo story, bold styling and unexpected beauty looks allow her to explore different sides of herself. She moves easily between elegance and playfulness, confidence and spontaneity.

Each look becomes an opportunity to move beyond the familiar. Through experimentation, she discovers new ways to express herself and sees her own identity from a fresh perspective.
For Ren Min, growth does not follow a fixed direction. It happens naturally whenever she accepts change, takes a creative risk, and remains open to what comes next.

An interview with Ren Min
HBZVN: If you had to describe this shoot in three words, what would they be?
REN MIN: Authenticity, playfulness, and creativity.
This shoot felt like a very pure form of creative expression. It was both work and play – professional, but with plenty of room for exploration. It allowed me to express myself freely while discovering new possibilities through different perspectives and styles.

HBZVN: This shoot features several unconventional looks. Which requires more courage: experimenting with fashion or taking on a challenging role?
REN MIN: Acting is definitely the greater challenge.
Every time I step into a new role, I approach it with complete commitment. From preparation to performance, I invest myself fully and always hope to deliver my best work.
“Because ACTING means so much to me, it NATURALLY comes with greater PRESSURE and RESPONSIBILITY.”

This shoot, by contrast, was an incredibly enjoyable creative experience. It gave me the chance to explore a side of fashion and beauty that I had wanted to try for a long time.
Working with a team of creatives I deeply admire made the process feel effortless. Instead of pressure, I felt the joy of being completely present. Through the different makeup looks and styling, I discovered new sides of myself.

The experience also made me want to bring the same freedom and confidence into my acting. I hope that one day I can step into a character as naturally as I step into a new look. That is something I continue to work toward.

HBZVN: You seem comfortable exploring the unknown. How does that spirit influence your work and personal growth?
REN MIN: I think new experiences allow us to see ourselves from a different perspective.
Whether I am taking on a new role, trying an unfamiliar style, or entering a new environment, I try to remain curious and open. There may be uncertainty, but that is often where the most meaningful discoveries begin.
“Stepping BEYOND what feels familiar helps me UNDERSTAND both myself and the world in NEW WAYS.”

HBZVN: You have not visited Vietnam yet. Would you be open to returning for a cover shoot built around an unexpected creative challenge?
REN MIN: Absolutely.
I have always had a very positive impression of Vietnam, although I have not had the opportunity to visit yet. I am curious about the food, local culture, and everyday way of life.

I would be happy to trust the creative team and immerse myself in an unfamiliar experience. What excites me most is the uncertainty – the people you meet, the stories you encounter, and the unexpected moments that often become the most memorable parts of a journey.
Of course, I appreciate comfort and a sense of security when I travel. Beyond that, I am always ready to welcome the unexpected.

HBZVN: Imagine having 24 hours to wander freely through Vietnam. Which three songs would you play throughout the day?
REN MIN: I would choose three songs by Mr. Sea Turtle: “Boys Don’t Cry,” “Wei Xiao,” and “Yi Ya Ya.”

Their music always feels like summer to me. Lighthearted, free, and full of energy. These songs put me in a good mood and bring me a sense of ease. They have also accompanied me through different moments in my life.

HBZVN: What is the one fashion piece you consider essential for summer?
REN MIN: A dress. To me, a dress is one of the most essential pieces of summer fashion. It is light, comfortable, and immediately creates a more relaxed feeling. I love the way a dress moves in the breeze. That sense of movement and freedom feels very special. For me, summer and dresses naturally belong together.
